Baby Chalice Blanket
10/03/11 — Action shot! Added a photo of the baby girl with her blankie :)
07/04/11 — Final measurements: 21.5”x35”.
07/03/11 — Just soaked the blanket in Eucalan wash for 30 minutes and it’s now drying on my dining table. A quick measurement of the baby blanket shows that the yarn grew considerably: its new (albeit wet) dimensions are 26”×38”! I’ll measure again when it’s dry.
07/02/11 — Finished! It went very quickly when I started taking this project on the subway with me. (I spend 2hrs/day on the 4 train. That’s a lot of knitting time!) Unblocked measurements: 20”×31”. I’ll take a photo tomorrow before blocking… and then after it’s blocked. Yay!
06/22/11 — I had trouble getting through the first row when I first cast on for some reason >_< I’ve finally gotten the hang of it, though, and I’ve done 3 repeats of the pattern already. It’s going pretty fast! I usually don’t like baby blankets because they’re like extra-wide scarves… and scarves bore me. But this is keeping me interested! I’m looking forward to finishing it and gifting it to my coworker. She deserves this :)
