Lupo Beret
10/11/10 — Finished! It was a very straightforward pattern that was easy to memorize and execute. I did make one small error with one of the yos… but I hope that it’s not noticeable. (It was almost at the very end and I couldn’t fix it. So it was either perservere or frog. So perservere I did!) I put it over an 11” plate and spritzed the hell out of it to block it into shape. Looks good! Hope the recipient feels the same way.
10/06/10 — After not knitting for over a month(!), I’ve decided to knit this beret. It’s an overdue re-gift for a friend. (I’d knit a beret for her in May but the blocking process totally stretched the hat out of proportion. It’s unwearable so I vowed to make her another one. This is that do-over.) It’s awkward fiddling around with DPNs but it feels good to be creative again! I think once I get the ribbing done and switch to circs, I’ll be able to take it on the subway with me. (I’m terrified of poking someone or losing a needle… so I only work with circs on my commutes.)
