06/26/10 — After the swatch dried, it looks like I still need to go down a needle size. Sigh.
06/25/10 — Swatch galore! US 3 (3.25mm) needles: 24 sts × 36 rows = 4” × 4” US 2 (3.0mm) needles: 26 sts × 38 rows = 4” × 4” ↑ That’s as close as I’ll get!
06/24/10 — I don’t know what I was thinking but I swatched using US 4 needles. Duh! I’m using worsted weight yarn; I need smaller needles than pattern calls for (not larger)! I’ll make another swatch tomorrow, when this swatch dries and I’ll know for sure that I did it wrong :P ETA: 20 sts × 32 rows = 4” × 4” on US 4 needles
My yarn is worsted weight… so I’ll need to futz around with my needles to see which ones will make gauge. Also, because of my limited supply of CC yarns, I’ll make the stripes a different color (white) from the circle-y pattern (yellow). I think I’ll also only do the sleeve hems in CC.
