Rectangular Colorblock Bias Blanket
Since I’m using a self-striping yarn, I’m using the Purl Soho pattern for construction only.
Here’s the adjusted pattern:
Cast on 5 sts.
SECTION 1: INCREASE Row 1 (RS): K2, M1L, knit to last 2 sts, M1R, k2. [2 sts increased] Row 2 (WS): P2, knit to last 2 sts, p2. Repeat Rows 1-2 until you have completely used 3 cakes (1,032 yards).
SECTION 2: CONTINUE Row 1 (RS): K2, M1L, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. [stitch count maintained] Row 2 (WS): P2, knit to last 2 sts, p2. Repeat Rows 1-2 until you have completely used cakes 4, 5, and 6 (another 1,032 yards).
SECTION 3: DECREASE Row 1 (RS): K1, ssk, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. [2 sts decreased] Row 2 (WS): P2, knit to last 2 sts, p2. Repeat Rows 1-2 until you have used cakes 7, 8, and 9 completely (another 1,032 yards). You should end with 5 stitches.
Bind off remaining stitches.
