08/23/14 — …and I’m frogging it. And my ball winder broke. Awesome.
08/23/14 — Body finished. Ready to start the sleeves but worried about how loose the body seems… Reluctantly considering ripping it all out and knitting the small size :-\
08/18/14 — Thirteen inches on the body. (Just started a third skein.) Four more to go before starting the sleeves.
08/14/14 — Sweater measurements received from my mother:
- Chest: 48”
- Length: 17” (armpit to bottom edge)
- Sleeves: 19”
My swatch with US 8 needles measured 17 sts × 26 rows = 4 in so I’m going for the medium size and hoping the finished product will be approximately 48-50” around the chest. Cast on 208 sts and away I go!
08/09/14 — I’m going to knit this sweater, dammit. But since I don’t have enough of the original yarn, Cascade Yarns Cascade 220® Heathers (since most of it went toward making my boyfriend’s “Little Waves” cardigan), I’ve ordered 8 skeins of LB’s Cotton-Ease in Taupe for this project. I’ll be flying to London in September and this will be a great project to take with me on the long international flight.
01/12/12 — …Uh. I didn’t make this sweater for my father but I still love this pattern and would like to make it. Only I don’t know another male who wants a pullover sweater. Drat.
12/06/11 — Swatch washed and dried… and my gauge is spot on with US 7 needles. Sweet! Too bad I’m still waiting for those measurements :\
12/05/11 — I’m making this for my father. It suits his sweater needs in that it is plain with a 1/4 zip neck. He also needs pockets so I’ll have to figure out how to make that happen :\ I’m waiting for my mom to text me his favorite sweater measurements. But in the meantime, I’m swatching! I really want this sweater to come out perfectly.
