Sugarplums
Modifications made to the pattern:
- Used smaller needles (US 6) for the top and bottom borders.
- Accidentally made the top and bottom borders a bit chunkier because I was following instructions for the medium size :zany_face:
- Slipped the first stitch purlwise of each row.
2023-10-27: Fourth ball of yarn joined.
2023-10-22: Eight repeats of the cable pattern complete. On the third hank of yarn.
2023-10-20: Making good progress! Total of 5 repeats of the cable pattern completed.
2023-10-18: Another repeat completed, bringing the total to 2. I learned it takes me about 2 hours to knit ~2,400 stitches.
2023-10-17: One repeat of the cable pattern done. It’s a little fiddly (my cable needle is large and slippery) but the pattern is memorizable. I’m just finding it a bit tedious. I hope once there’s some length on the needles, I’ll be motivated to keep going.
2023-10-16: Cast on for the medium size first but that seemed huge so ripped it out and cast on for the small size. Seems better. Using size US 6 needles for the top/bottom border and will switch to US 8 needles for the main portion, to try to combat the hourglass issue reported by others.
