Tamarack (Classic) [Attempt #2]
2025-12-16: Hallelujah! With US10.75 (7mm) needles, my gauge is 14 sts x 24 rows = 4”. Stitch gauge is right on but row gauge is a tad more compressed. I can live with that! I will proceed with my selected size and knit to pattern specs.
2025-12-15: New needle tips came in today so I made a third pocket. Will check gauge when “swatch” is dry :crossed_fingers::skin-tone-3:
2025-12-07: With US 11 needles, gauge was too loose at 13 sts and 20 rows = 4”. Ordered US 10.75 needle tips from KnitPicks and hope that’s my Goldilocks!
2025-12-05: Used US 10.5 needles and got 15 sts x 24 rows = 4”. That’s too tight :\ Trying with US 11 needles but fear it’ll be too loose!
2025-12-04: Knit one patch pocket using US 10.5 needles. I’m blocking it now and will measure gauge.
